Unlike ISO standards, which often focus on the management process or system of management (eg. ISO 14001), The Carbon Saver Standard™ requires organisations to meet specific reduction targets. Only when these targets have been met can the Carbon Saver Standard™ be achieved.

Strategies for Saving carbon
The following are all means of reducing carbon emissions. Some are low cost to implement, eg. Behavioural Change, others require significant capital costs. Often grants or interest free loans can be used to help with capital investment. Check with your local business link for details.
