Local Enterprise Partnerships
Date: 26th August 2010 - 8am
Venue: Greater Manchester Chamber's offices
Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce is hosting an event to discuss plans for a Greater Manchester Local Enterprise Partnership, or LEP.
Chief Executive of Manchester City Council, Sir Howard Bernstein, will be guest speaker and on hand to explain what the role of an LEP could be and what future support will be available for business.
After centuries during which the only metric that has mattered to businesses has been the bottom line, the next decade is likely to see a fundamental shift in the way executives measure their performance.
The bottom line will remain the sole arbiter of corporate success and failure, but the pricing of carbon emissions and soaring energy costs mean that profitability will increasingly become a factor of firms' ability to reduce their carbon footprint.
The first version of the CHANGING BEHAVIOUR Toolkit will be launched in September 2010. We invite you as an energy saving expert to be one of the first users of this toolkit!
We organise a Toolkit Clinic in Düsseldorf (Germany) on October 12, 2010 to use and fine-tune the Toolkit together with users. Participants have the opportunity to use the Toolkit for a real-life project they are working on. You can thus improve your own project via this clinic!
